Other than regular gelatin possibly being bleached or from grain fed cattle (which may or may not make a difference?), I don't think there's harm in trying it and comparing. I'm really interested in the benefits for stronger nails, but I'm really interested to see how it affects skin texture and cellulite! But then I read reports of people who don't get good results for nails and skin until they start taking a specific collagen product. So by this, regular gelatin should be just as good. ![]() I continue to read that hydrolyzed collagen is just a marketing ploy and every protein we eat gets broken down into single amino acids anyway, and the body doesn't just use "collagen" as a direct replacement for our own. I'm really curious too! I ordered some hydrolyzed collagen, but I haven't started taking it yet. If anyone has done experiments with the two I'd love to know your experience. I've been taking collagen for 8 months with keto then carnivore but am now really trying to save a few bucks so if I can replace it with geletine that will be awesome!Īnd just a note, I do do meat and bone broth too, but consistency is tricky as it is a bit of a mission in a busy life. Still got some left but not too bad at all now. I think it's also been helpful in reducing my cellulite. Not sure if that was lack of carbs or the collagen. The collagen I think was really helping as I can see a big difference. Im trying to shrink my skin after a good weight loss. As apposed to collagen which the cheapest I can find being about 25 dollars for 500gs here in my country. I can get geletine in bulk from our baking supplier for super cheap, like 3 dollars a kg. I have done some googling on this but I can't seem to find conclusive ideas on which is actually better for us. Promotion of veganism will not be tolerated either.
